Source for heavy weight hair canvas?

    Hello -

I'm looking for a source (preferably in the US) for heavy-weight hair canvas. I've looked at a few links from various threads here, and I can only find light to medium weight hair canvas, and B Black and Sons doesn't seem to carry it anymore. Or is there another interfacing someone can recommend for a 16 oz wool kilt I'm making for my husband?

    Thanks!

    Hello!
A couple of pieces I have restored (one kilt, one tunic) had tow linen canvas where I had expected hair canvas. Fortunately I had some in my stash from a medieval project, because it had become a bit crumbly in the tunic. It looks like there are some suitable heavyweight linen and hempen fabrics at burnleyandtrowbridge.com, also at wmboothdraper.com.
    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the advice! I actually emailed B Black & Sons, and they let me know that they do carry heavy weight hair canvas - I just needed to search under "Hymo", not "hair canvas". So I went ahead and ordered it from them. Thanks again, though! Maybe this will help someone else with their projects.
