That is how I see it.

Every odd, negative or out of the ordinary situation in my life is met with one thing.

    Phone camera

I’m sure “The Question” would be no different, if I feel potential danger, the camera goes on.

I find that I mostly get the question from flirtatious young women, which doesn't offend me. It is usually just a conversation starter.

My reply? "Wouldn't you like to know!" Delivered with a smile, and sometimes a wink. Tone of voice and smile will vary depending on how much I want to engage with the lass asking.

Pretty much my experience as well - one of my typical responses to "what are you wearing under your kilt?", is (with a slightly puzzled look) "Sock and shoes."

I've been asked plenty of times. My answer depends on how the question is asked. I did have one instance where a drunk woman didn't wait for an answer. She set about finding out for herself. Luckily it was on a carpark near my vehicle so I opened the door between us and got in. I wasn't offended exactly, but I didn't want to be part of the scene that she was causing.

As it happens, the question I get asked more often is whether I'm cold or not. It's likely that I'm actually warmer than they are.
