Talking New member in Columbus, Ohio

Hello everyone. Excited to join this forum. If anyone is familiar with Columbus, it has a rich history of Celtic (Irish) immigrants. While I have been immersed in this community, I have never lost sight of my mother's family roots with Clan Montgomery. I finally achieved a milestone and journeyed with my wife to Scotland in 2022. I ordered my first kilt and since it's arrival in 2023 it's been a slippery slope of kilt purchases. I enjoy researching the history of each of the tartans I purchase. Looking forward to possibly joining others for kilted events in the local area.

I have seen that Tartan in the Scottish Tartan Registry. It's on my list of tartans to consider.

Hello GC; welcome to XMarks from lower Delaware. Our youngest daugter and her family live in Dublin (& son lives in Bexley) so my wife and have have been the Dublin Irish Festival. I wore my Dandelion and met a couple of X-Marks there.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. Hello Nile. I leave right to the West of Bexley, in an area known as Old Towne East. Very familiar with the Dublin Irish Festival. I have poured many a pint at the beer truck when volunteering for the Shamrock Club. It's been difficult to make it to the festival recently as I now ride in Pelotonia, which is a fundraiser for cancer research at the OSU James. The ride is the same weekend as the festival and after 100+ miles on the bike I am usually not staying up late.
