A Brief Update:
We have been looking for a suitable location for the Gala Dinner and I have been doing analysis to determine the final prices for the Dinner. I ensure you that the food is going to be good and serve at a fair price.
If you are travelling with small children, I am also trying to arrange a child minding service. I will try to make the price reasonable and use only qualified nanny.
I have also started to scout the location for Sunday's Festival. Hopefully, I will will have more to report.
If you have booked hotel rooms, please advise me the location and how long have you booked.
I wish I have more to report.....

Raphael,
If you are still looking for tourist things for people to do may I suggest a day trip to Victoria.
Pacific Coach lines offers downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria trip at a very resonable rate.
(This includes the ferry ride to the island. BEAUTIFUL!)

Click on the webcam for a live look at the inner harbour. (Tell me what time you want to look and I'll stand on 'Pipers corner' and wave)
I can arrange group tickets and personally guided tours. This is a world class museum with a fine gallery on the First Nations peoples of BC. Lots of poles and masks.
There is also Buchart Gardens.

Also the world famous Fairmont Empress Hotel and Legislature buildings on the inner harbour.

Great idea Steve. I have suggested Victoria as a possible day trip (Whistler as well). Victoria is one of my favorite cities to visit. Truth be told, I prefer Victoria to Vancouver anyday.
