Day sporran, whiskey or ox blood
I am considering a Wyvern plain day sporran with a tooled flap for my first sporran. It comes in black, ox blood, and whiskey. I have always worn black and cordovan shoes and belts but I am willing to take a leap of faith based on years of tradition and try a brown accessory. The question is which brown? My kilt will be similar to my avatar but a bit darker claret. The ox blood sporran will disappear into the tartan and be inconspicuous. The whiskey will be lighter than the tartan so it will show more and the lighter color will take on more character with use. I am leaning toward the whiskey but would appreciate opinions from the rabble.

Sounds like you've made your decision already. I'd go with the whisky too, but then I quite like whisky!

I'd say black because it goes with everything. Not sure what your other kilts are, but if you plan on getting more, black might be the way to go. Either way, a Wyvern sporran is definitely the way to go!
