Looking for a proper length casual jacket...
My buddies and I have a tradition of going camping in the Oregon Coast Range for Thanksgiving weekend. I brought along my DNKE Sport utility and wore it at the campfire to see how it did in cold weather. We had a pretty big fire going, it was between 30-40* outside, and dry.
Observations:
My friends genuinely thought I looked badass (mind you, they/we are all beer drinkin country/redneck boys)
They were genuinely interested in learning about it
It's warmer to wear than I though it would be
Kilt hose make a big difference
The big fire burns my exposed knees
The cool air up my kilt is invigorating, I had warm undies on, but still not used to that
My big Carharrt jacket is entirely too long to wear with a kilt. It falls to the bottom of my sporran. There's a lot of interference.
I'm looking for a casual jacket about the length of a PC to pair with my DNKE. Not formal, something rugged like my Carharrt, but it needs to be about 14inches shorter in the torso. Here's a link to my Carharrt full swing jacket. It's a long one.

If someone knows of a Carharrt that fits like I'm talking about, let me know. I'm sure someone else has run into the same problem. I'd prefer to stay with the solid color cotton duck style, but I'm open to suggestions. I've seen the shorter cut Carharrt Detroit jacket, and on me (I'm 6'2" 150lbs) it might be the right fit. Does anyone have any pictures?
