Kilted Backpacker

I received this link in a newsletter from Backpacker magazine. It appears to be one of the Mountain Hardwear kilts that have been discussed here previously.

At least it's a form of a kilt making an appearance in a popular magazine.

Hadn't seen that one yet. I still enjoy Backpacker magazine, after all these years it seems to hold true to it's roots. I wonder if he will mention kilted hiking in the upcoming story?

At 5oz Mountain Hardware's Mountain Kilt remains the lightest kilt for backpacking that I know.

That is so cool! I was reluctant to visit the Grand Canyon when I lived in Sierra Vista AZ, but once we arrived at the South Rim I was awestruck. That same trip I also visited Meteor Crater, near Winslow, Arizona, guess you could say that was my hole in the ground tour of Arizona. Now whenever I hear the Eagles song “Take it Easy” I think of Winslow Arizona.
