    The Last of the Mohicans

I have watched this great move many many times.. Tonight was the first time I noticed a Scottish Regiment, when Hawkeye first entered Fort William Henry and again in the big battle scene, when the Huron ambushed the English..

One of those movies that makes me proud to be a Kentuckian. Also make me wanna be a Park Ranger too oddly enough.

They represent the 42nd Highlanders (not yet Royal), which were not present at the Fort William Henry when it was beseiged and ultimately surrendered, but they do add some color to the film. If you get a chance to see the extended version, the major takes them out to engage the French as a diversion to allow the couriers to escape.

Col Munro was a Scot though and they got that right.
