This is one marvellous album. Up to relatively recently, it was very difficult to get genuine recordings of the Gaelic Psalms from the Western Isles of Scotland. Ridge records have brought out two albums of which this is the second.

I have a very old recording of this very Psalmody in Gaelic,

In different tones, ala Orthodoxy. Very nice, and very reminiscent of old byzantine or znameny chant.

I must say that I'm very interested! Thanks for posting it! A much nicer recording than the one I have.

It is also, very occassionally, played on InBN.net.

I do notice that when I try to buy the CD, it takes me to a selection of CDs that do not include the Gaelic Psalmody! Ugh! I must be doing something wrong.
