    five-eighths inch beads?

I'm looking for some silver, or pewter or antique brass beads in five-eighths or three-quarter inch diameter. I want to make tassel bells for a sporran.
I tried several different search terms on Google but haven't really been able to find anything.

Anyone gone looking for anything similar?

Not sure what's shown here is large enough for you, but a Google search for "pewter beads" brought up these among other sources: http://www.artbeads.com/celtic.html

I'd also search on "beading supply" or supplies to get into the jewelry making loop -- one of my sisters does beaded necklaces, earrings etc. and there is no shortage of companies selling to that market.

    Good luck!

    And some larger ones here

some have also had good results with these. They are smaller than what you would normally want but not bad.

Thanks to both of you. I saw both those websites when I did my own search on Google. Nothing round and nothing large enough.
