Another Question on another first X-Kilt DIY attempt

Pertaining to X-Kilt Manual, Appendix 3: Tartan Hikers Method

I did not notice a reference to a waistband in the Appendix 3 instructions. Did I miss something or am I supposed to incorporate this feature from the original X-Kilt instruction set? Sorry for having to ask a dumb question.

Incorporate the waistband (and anything else not specifically instructed) from the original directions. Tartan Hiker describes a method for marking and sewing pleats only, everything else would be done as per the main instruction set.
