    Civil War

While searching for something else, I stumbled upon this site.

The Civil War in America from

    http://beck.library.emory.edu/iln/volume.php

If you click on Articles, you will come to the Volumes.

It is written very much from a UK perspective but does give some information about troop movements, dates and the like.

How much use it will be in tracing family history, I don't know, but some of the drawings are very good.

    Regards

    Chas

Wow! What a collection of articles! I just read 3 of them, and they are very insightful and poignant. It's very interesting to see what our cousins across the pond were thinking as they watched us spiral into madness. I'm definitely going to be spending some more time reading through them. I'm going to share this around, too. Thanks for posting it!

Someone has gone to a lot of time and trouble to put that lot together. Great find Chas.

it is a really close call whether slavery or treatment of native americans is the greater american tragedy. the u.s. has lots of ideals that we have not always lived up to. but we keep trying, and that keeps us honorable though imperfect.

except for europe, u.s., canada, human slavery is alive and well. in europe, us, and canada, slavery is suppressed but alive. in the u.s., we just call it "human trafficking."
