    Question Dna

New to the whole DNA thing maybe somebody will know? if I match 0 a very close match with 37 markers who is R1b1a2a1a1b4 L21, Does this also mean I am R1b1a2a1a1b4 L21? Since we share a male common ancestor..

    Thanks in advance

If this were a threadcount, (which it's not) it would be red, blue and azure (light blue) and whatever shade we wanted to call "L". Let's call it "lemon". It would look like this:

It disappeared when I closed the tartan-generating website without saving the picture.

Go to http://www.houseoftartan.co.uk/inter...gner/index.htm and you can recreate it yourself.

Yes, more than likely. They would probably tecnically say that was your predicted haloptype...verification would be done through a deep clade test. I am also L21 predicted.

Its possible. If you take the Geno 2.0 test at National Geographic that has one of the highest resolution SNP tests out there. After you receive your results you can transfer them to FTDNA. You can chech out the R haplogroup tree here http://www.isogg.org/tree/ISOGG_HapgrpR.html. There are five subclades of L21. I think that there is also a haplogroup project at FTDNA. If you join that the administrators could look at your haplotype and make a suggestion to which subclade that you might fall under.
