Went to visit my Sister on Sunday as she's been feeling a bit under the weather. She lives about an hour from us so we set off mid morning and arrived just in time for lunch. My timing has always been this good.
It was a beautiful day so in the afternoon we went for a walk in the local park to enjoy the sunshine and feed the Mallard Ducks and Canada Geese.
My Daughter with Mrs Bloke and my Son Tom. Obviously we were not the first with the "feed the ducks" idea
and most of them were not very hungry and sleeping off their excess on the little island in the middle of the duck pond..
My little girl wasn't too happy that the ducks weren't being very enthusiastic...
We noted that there should be loads of ducklings about at this time of year... and then spotted this fellow lurking on the oposite bank.
A Grey Heron in residence would certainly explain the lack of fluffy baby ducks.
As the ducks were all a bit 'slow' we went up the hill to play on the slide and swings.
Mrs Bloke chats with my Brother-in-Law while I'm left holding the baby... as it were.
(not that I mind at all...)
On the way home we have to negtiate a huuuuge flight of steps (or at least they are huge when you are quite little).
My Daughter was adamant she would walk down without holding Daddie's hand 'Coz she's a big Girl now!!
Nearly there Mummy...
