2 kilted days on the bay
This past weekend was the start of Fleet Week here in SF. The SS Jeremiah O'Brien, of which I am a crewmember, sailed the bay on both days. In the middle of the afternoon we stopped cruising and sat in the middle of the bay to watch the USN Blue Angels perform On Saturday we had over 900 on board and Sunday over 700 on board.
Saturday I dressed up some, wearing my Celtic Nations kilt, pale yellow shirt, red tie, dark blue vest and hose and black leather. While on crowd control duty a gentlemen came up to me and we started talking kilts. Not long into the conversation he noticed my crewmember badge that reads Tats and realized that that I was "sailortats" from xmarks. He re-introduced himself as "Spinnaker" also an xmarker. We had a couple of very nice conversations during the day. This is the first time I have met another xmarker on board although I understand that Alan H. has been on board in the past.
On Sunday I dressed more casually with my Stewart old sett modern kilt, red Stewart clan polo shirt, gray hose and black leather. No xmarkers on board, I assume, but was again asked to pose for many pictures throughout the day. You can't imagine how enjoyable it is for a man of my age to be asked to pose with all these young ladies. And so as proof.....................................

Lisa and I

Marissa and I

The magnificent Blue Angels performing. No matter how many times I have seen them I still tear up with pride every time they perform.

So it is true what they say about a girl in every port - or in this case two girls in one port!

Chas, in this case it should be 7 girls in one port. Unfortunately none of the others have forwarded their pics. Yet anyway.

Well I won't say 'greedy' out loud, but I will certainly be muttering it behind clenched teeth!
Obviously you were a good advert for kilt wearing, to make such an impression.

Technically, if I read this right, the ship was underway and so NOT really in port

Well, yeah. With those young ladies aboard, some things are bound to get unfurled.
I must say, Phil, you definitely look the part. I imagine young ladies would want some photos with you, anyway. Add a kilt? You'll be covered with stray hairs and a cocktail of those magical scents ladies use to mask their fetid humanity. Girls are yummy.
Looking good, you lucky dog!
