    Ah, at last....

    I ordered a new kilt!
    As I was planning for a longer time it will be a Gow modern 8 yard heavyweight pleated to stripe if possible.
    I ordered from a very well sorted kilt and bagpipe supply shop called "Kiltsandmore" near Heidelberg which is quite near to my place.
    Hope I won't have to wait too long....

    Congratulations! Now the 'jonesing' shall begin...

    Is this the place?

    So very interesting to see these Highland things with German nomenclature!

    I had to learn all the parts of the bagpipe in Spanish and Bulgarian, but in German I would be at a loss.

    Pipersson,

    I was lucky to have spent a week in Heidelberg and Mannheim back in 1979. I really loved the area and really enjoyed the particular dialect of the German spoken in Heidelberg. A beautiful area. Hope you do not have to wait too long for your new kilt and wear it often and proudly.

    @kiltedtom:
    Actually Heidelberg is near but another area...I am in Hessen, Heidelberg is in Baden-Würtemberg. The dialect is quite different... But Heidelberg is a nice city...I have never been in Mannheim I do have to confess.

    Yeah, I am looking forward to my new kilt...should be ready in 6 weeks,

    Thanks for your good wishes

    Tom (yes, I am too)
