Another company ripping off copyrighted tartans

    Update...

The company responded and took the kilts off of their website and said that they didn't have any stock, that it would have had to been woven to order. They agreed to not re-post them online or re-sell them.

Here's another example of a company in Pakistan (Norman International / Norman Intl) producing private tartans without respect to the owner (in this case, USA Kilts):

    http://www.normanintl.com/large.php?...7-0-1007-205-1

Here's our registration in the Tartan Register's database:

    http://tartanregister.gov.uk/tartanD....aspx?ref=5289

I sent them an email today insisting they take the tartan off of their website and stop promoting it in email attachments (how I learned about it in the first place).

That's why I deal with reputable dealers, preferably located in the US.

    Sigh

I feel like there should be a "Master List of Thieves" to warn kilt buyers about companies like this.

    Give 'em hell, Rocky!

I plan on it, but "hell" gets expensive once you have to involve lawyers. Ugh... so stupid that I have to spend money to defend my property when these jerks just rip off whatever / whomever they want.

This site would scare me off just from the lack of names on the tartans and hedgy descriptions.
I have Rocky's IOS and IN in PV and am not sure it would immediately jump out at me that they were Rocky's exact patterns without his foreknowledge.
One of the reasons I deal almost exclusively with USAK is the honesty and known quality of their products.
The address listed for many of these sellers is nothing but a ruse to hide the actual source location and calls into question the integrity of their products.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

I can't make this stuff up, folks...

I googled their "US Office" street address that they list in their email. Try it yourself and see the address of their US headquarters by going to "street view":

    U.S.A OFFICE :
    1140 E. luzerne street
    Philadelphia PA 19124
