    Atlanta Kilts

    Friends

Saw a website reasonably priced for 8 yard wool from good weavers. Its called ATLANTA KILTS.

Searched but saw no comment on here about their quality.

    Anybody used them?

I've used them, but not for their 8 yard wool kilts. For a jacket that I needed in a rush they were great. For an acrylic kilt they ordered from Pakistan they were not good at all. For taking a kilt in when I lost some weight they were a pleasure to deal with. I doubt they sew the 8 yard wool that they're selling, more likely it's something they are ordering as the middleman for you.

The tartan in my 2 wool kilts came from mills in Scotland, but I have an acrylic kilt from Atlanta Kilts that I'm very pleased with. Also, for a special project, we ordered some tartan from them, and it came in the wrong color-way. Since time was an issue, they rushed the correct tartan to us and we kept the other, as well. Their customer service, when things go wrong, is great. I'm a Scottish Country Dancer. We have a man in our class that only wears a kilt when he attends a dance. I recommended Atlanta Kilts to him, he ordered all his kit from them and was very satisfied. Another reasonably low priced vendor is J. Higgins in Kansas. I've ordered an evening jacket and vest and a sporran chain from them and been pleased.

I got my full PC outfit from them, including a 16 oz 8 yard kilt and am very pleased with the service and the quality. I was close enough to drive down and get measured at the shop, but one of the wedding party had to order over the phone and his experience was just as good.
