Back from Eire
Well, I'm back from Ireland and it was just incredible. My trip was with a group of around 90 americans all around my age. We took classes from Irish teachers about Irish literature, history (Irish and Irish American), Gaelic and Irish government. We also did a lot of traveling and stayed with families for a week (mine was in Co. Monaghan). We stayed at a boarding school in Dublin for 10 days where we went to all the important sites (Kilmainham Gaol, Glendalough, Guinness factory, etc.) and went to the Leinster Hurling final in Croke Park (Wexford beat Offaly). Then I stayed with a family and 3 other kids from my program for a week in Monaghan on a farm (didn't have to do any farm work). Then we were at another boarding school in Waterford. From waterford we went on daytrips to Cahir Castle, Blarney Castle, Newgrange, Monasterboice, Cashel Rock, Cork, Wexford, and Kilkenny. Finally we stayed at student housing/ holiday homes in Galway city where we went on daytrips to the cliffs of Moher, Connemara (I missed that one due to grounding for the most idiotic reason), and the Aran Islands. I wore my kilt at some discos with my group and other groups (both foreign and Irish) at the school in Dublin and at the final banquet in Galway.

That certainly sounds like a dream trip. Welcome back!
(If I could only get to the Guinness brewery I'd die a happy man.)
