    Beginner throwing advice

So I want to start throwing in the future but first need to learn how. I am currently going to the gym 3-4 times a week lifting weights. I was wondering if anyone knows how much the items weigh that are thrown, as well as the height of the caber? Or at least good weights and height to start at. Thanks.

I don't know, but I imagine that, in this instance, google MUST be your friend. Information like that must be all over the interweb.

Just started myself. There is an Athletics board here, under the Highland games board. Also, I recommend this site.\

The getting started tab will answer most of your questions.
