From Being Super Excited To Utter Disappointment
Just short of 12 months ago, I ordered a kilt. It was a special weave from D C Dalgliesh in the Australian tartan and the pleating was to be to the alternating white and blue stripes. I received the kilt today and was bloody excited as the postie handed me the box, I rushed inside, took out the basting stitches and wrapped it around the waist, walked into the living room, swirled in front of the lovely, cuddly, bubbly. She immediately asked, “why are there two white stripes together?” Bugger.

I don’t know if the kilt can be re-pleated as I know the pleat material excess at the waist has been cut out. I have in fact examined the kilt and it appears that the fault is in the weaving as there is no blue stripe in the pleat fold between the two whites seen in the photo. I’ll have to wait until the kilt maker gets back to me with a solution. What makes it worse is that I was meant to wear this kilt to an Anzac Day ceremony on April 25 I can't see me getting my kilt anytime soon. Cheers to all
