    Chattan Kilt ebay find

I've been following all the new Chattan kilts and photos and related topics, such as the Scottish wildcat tartan with interest, having Mackintosh and other related families in the tree. Saw this 4 yard kilt on ebay, where Chattan tartan is not seen often, so thought to share with the other cat clan folks who might be looking for an entry-level wool Chattan kilt. Unfortunately not my size.

It was made by one of our forum partners, Burnett's & Struth. I have one of their 4 yarders in Black Watch and love it.

I saw that earlier today. It turns out I "can wear" Chattan via Catanach so I got a bit excited until I saw it was four yards. I've got some five yard kilts which I like but not sure about four. It's the right size as well. Hmmmm.

I'd like to see Chattan rendered in weathered colours.

    Bren,
Talk to Kyle. I believe he's looking at having one made in that color scheme.

If it is not a boxpleat kilt it will have just few pleats...or if more just very shallow ones I guess.
    But great colours!

I have a 4 yd from Burnett's & Stuth on right now! And yes, the pleats are shallow, so you get less swing, but on this warm, humid California day, it's not bad. A 5 yd would be my preference for a lower yardage kilt.

However, the reason I put this up is because of the seldom seen kilt for sale in the Chattan tartan, not really the kilt itself.
