Chicken Fried Haggis???
While eating dinner at the recent Burn's Night in Belfast, ME my southern raised wife leaned over and asked if anyone had breaded and fried haggis, akin to making chicken fried steak.
Well, someone here must have tried it. If so, how did it come out?

Robbie Burns will be rolling over in his grave, but then again deep fried Mars bars are a Scottish invention.....

Haaaa ! Steve , I vote this as the best question of the year ... even though it's only February .
I'm sure your'e right , it has probably been tried . Given there is a large number of southern XMarkers , someone will surely chime in .

What a priceless (for humor's sake) question for any Southern chef. Even some Caviar, Pate and Sushi dishes need "a quick flash in the pan" if not prepared well.
I know a few chefs here in Oxford that would howl with joy at the concept.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

My brother has prepared deep fried haggis balls on a couple of different occasions, once on a camping trip where they were a big hit. Can`t give details of the batter, but I don`t think it was anything unusual. Very tasty, but haggis is such a delicious dish to begin with, I think the deep frying is really just gilding the lily.

The last time that I was in Scotland the only time that I saw haggis on a menu it was fried. I had it as an appetizer, solely because it was on the menu, and it was surprisingly bland.
