The de'il made me do it!....... And it was fun!
This morning, we have a crew of roofers hard at work ripping off the remains of our old roof, and they needed the gate to the back yard open. So, rather than follow normal routine and turn the dogs out in the backyard for their morning constitutional, I put them on leads and walked them on the college campus, across the street.
In addition to myriad questions and comments about my beautiful Mattie, I had three different ask, "Where are you from?" My response was literal, truthful, and not at all what they expected. Raising my cane I'd point and say, "Right across the street," and continue my walk with a ridiculous grin.
Like I said, the devil made me do it, but it sure was fun.

Well, always keep people guessing and never fail to point out the obvious.
I bet the dogs enjoyed the walk.
How do your dogs react to the kilt?
Mine likes to stick her nose up inside of mine and snort. She plays peekaboo.

Doc, you probably dispensed more "education" to those youngsters than they'll get the rest of the day listening to their professors.
