DHL-Whats a Sporrah
Received this message from DHL
"DHL requires the following in order to make entry with US Customs:
Country of origin
Detailed description of “sporrahs”.
For all clothing & textiles I need fiber content, knit or woven, gender and manufacturer name & address. Also for textiles I will need the length x width. Thank you"
The Interesting thing was it was signed by a gentleman with the last name O'brien
Since DHL picked up the packaged, I would think they know where it is coming from

Oh...they managed to deliver a parcel I send to the USA (large Dymo printed adress label, CN22 customs label...all crisp and clear) at my own doorstep...after 3 weeks.
"Hello! a parcel for you!"

The GENDER? Oh I could have fun with that, both US an EU law make asking that question a hate crime.

DHL is the lowest ranked of the major international courier companies for a reason...
Hell, one of the survey panels i'm on paid me to use and compare the UPS, FedEX, and DHL online shipping systems. This was about 6-7 years ago, shortly after they all started doing online ordering and tracking... UPS ranked top, then FedEx... as for DHL, their site wouldn't even work most of the time. They've obviously improved their website since then, but I don't feel the rest of their services have improved.

Don't get me started about DHL. First, when I called to enquire about a late delivery, they said no one was at home (my wife was at home all day) when they attempted delivery and asked me to set up a date when someone would be here. When they didn't show that day either, they simply said they couldn't deliver because, and I quote, Sir, your address does not exist. This statement directly contradicted the original no one at home when delivery was attempted. When I pointed that out to them, They just said, you'll have to pick your package at the terminal. That meant I had to use my gas to drive 40+ miles, each way, and get a package that I'd already paid for delivery to my home. When I asked about a refund on some of the charges, they said no refund was possible. That's just one run-in I've had with DHL. There are several. I'm at the point that if a vendor says he can only ship DHL, I'll look elsewhere for the item I'm buying.

We had about 10 boxes sent to us a month ago (we are constantly trying to build inventory - but you guys keep taking it)
9 boxes came through..1 was held up for over 12 days...
1st they need fed number, then something else, then something else...
Finally I asked DHL---"WHY ARE YOU HOLDING UP THIS ONE BOX WHEN THE OTHERS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DELIVERED"
One of our suppliers always marks the Kilts as Skirts-Because people know what skirts are, sometime smarking them as Kilts - gets them hung up.
Interesting thing about DHL,,they charge the lowest amount for clearing customs and handling that end of the paperwork for you
