So a while ago I offered to make a sporran for a member, which was accepted by farmer Jones (who has been very patient I must say). I thought I should post an update on the progress. The flap is complete with a gold, red & green applique set into the leather, colors match his maple leaf kilt. Front and back are done, but having a little trouble with back as I used a piece of leather to re-enforce it which proved to be to thick and now I have to sand it down to the desired thickness, oh well just part of the fun. Made my first set of tassels which I must say came out fantastic. Still have to cut the gusset and then do all the hand sewing to assemble it. I wont be posting any pictures until after farmer Jones takes delivery, sorry. Hope to have it finished soon.
