Got my 3rd kilt April 1th a Dark Shadow Island on Black Tartan
I got my 3rd kilt .. Dark Shadow Island on Black Tartan is beautiful. Bonnie did another great job It is a med weight tartan, I believe it is a wool blend, because the pattern is shiny/matte. It feels slightly lighter than my Spirit of Scotland kilt which is a med weight. Its very beautiful.. Will take a picture soon.. My Royal Stewart will be coming in early June...

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

The problem with the profile photo, is the size. All detail is lost with the small size. I use Firefox, and have tried pressing the control and plus buttons together to enlarge the photo. It does increase the size, however, it does not show any detail.

Angie, I hope you can post a large photo of you in your kilt. You look so cute!
Here's a photo of the kilt and a closeup of the tartan when I was sewing the pleats.
The lighting on the satin/matte can really play tricks on the eyes.

Elsie Stuehmeyer told us about when a top world-class piper ordered a kilt in that tartan from her, and how difficult it was to see the pattern.
She said she had to go outside in direct sunlight to be able to distinguish it, in order to do the pleats.
She said "never again!"
So kudos to Bonnie for taking on that task and having such a beautiful result!
