    He Was Right

    Greetings my kilted brethern,

This morning I was at my usual coffee shop when a fellow coffee drinker made a comment about the comfort level of Friday's when another guy at the table pointed to me and said that I was the most comfortable one in the entire coffee shop because I was kilted. I did not disagree.

What do you mean with "The comfort level of Fridays"

The guy who commented must have some kilting experience. Or how would he know what level of comfort we kilt wearers have.

    David,

Casual dress Friday's are pretty big around here, so people feel more comfortable because the guys usually do not wear ties, so the attitude of people is a little bit more comfortable and less stressed (supposedly).

Jerry (the guy who made the comment) has never worn a kilt before even though I have tried to convince him, the comment came from out of the blue.

I always thought it was dumb to have casual Fridays. On Friday, people are already in a better mood because of the upcoming weekend.
Casual Mondays would make much more sense. It would lessen the pain of knowing you had to work for the next five days in a row.

Bear, I feel the same way. Or what about in the middle of the week. To sort of alleviate and energize for the rest of the week.

Who am I kidding though? Every Friday at my old job, I had a client in and couldn't wear jeans. The way my luck is, they'd all start coming in whenever the casual day was.

Just glad I work some weekends and nights now. I can wear whatever I want. I have to clear the kilt with the manager probably, when I get it.

    Oh!
I see this sounds like nothing I've heard before.
You have a rule that says you can dress casual on Fridays. I've honestly never heard of that before.

I work in a factory so it's workman casual everyday.

Hey! Bear. Now you've got your new Den you can have casual Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday, Friday and, Saturday Sunday you can just be sloopy. Not with the kilts of course....

    Yours Casually ....David

    Kilted Fridays works for me!

After leaving a job of 15 years on August 1, I got to experience an entire MONTH of casual days! Oh that was nice. Get up and throw on the kilt.

September 1 brought about the unfortunate circumstance where employment was again in the picture. Atleast I have the evenings and "gig weekends" to enjoy the airflow!

Gman, you've got this whole kilt-thing down, dude!!! 8)

That is why I wear my kilt cooking five days a week. No matter what, I'm comfortable and I do not feel so worn out at the end of the day. Even with vent fans the heat in a kitchen can really suck.

Humbug. Just read the dress code carefully and make sure it isn't forbidden. If it isn't, just wear it. It's easier to get forgivness than permission.

I always wanted to be a doctor because I thought they never wore ties. I liked Scrubs. Unfortunately (actually very fortunately) I did Not go into Surgery so I was stuck for 10 years with a tie... until...I heard about a medical study showed the doctor's tie is 6 fold, the most dirtiest thing in the office. Kind of gross but it makes sense... All the sick people coughing and the Kiddies with runny noses...No one dry cleans their tie unless they spill on it...
    I stopped wearing ties.

    Next Up: justify the Kilt
