How about a Thursday kilted adventure

Yesterday I received in the mail a used casual kilt from another xmarker. I decided to wear it today to my regular pub in the Haight/Ashbury section of town. I was not there more than 10 minutes when the bartender sat another beer in front of me saying it was from the young lady several seats down from me. I looked over to her and saw that she was there with her boyfriend and another young lady. I thanked her, from a distance. Fortunately not ong after that her boyfriend went onto the street to have a cigarette and so I went down and talked with her for a few minutes. I saw when I initially thanked her for the beer that the boyfriend was not at all pleased. She said it was the combination of the kilt and the tattoos that attracted her to me.

I went back to my seat and finished my beer and started in on the one she had bought me when a gorgeous young lady walked in and asked if she could get a few pics of me. She too said it was the combination of kilt and tattoos that she liked. This young lady, Caroline, was visiting from London England. She took 4 pics and then e-mailed the best one of the four to me. I have to say it is the best pic I have of me in a kilt.
I don't know why the man I bought this kilt from wanted to sell it and really don't care as this kilt is a chick magnet first class. As proof, see below:

    Fatigue, obviously.

Agreed--great pic of you. Great look at the tats and you just look...serene. A little smug, but mostly serene.

Looking at this picture again, it reminds me of a coffee table book my parents had. A Day in the Life of America, I think it was (also one about the USSR, which dates me.) A compilation of photos taken across the US on a specific day by a few hundred photographers--I loved that book. This picture feels like it would have been/should have been in those pages. That young lady took a great picture of a wonderful subject.

Even without your narrative, there's a great visual story there. Not just you, but what's on the bar and why, etc.

Maybe I'm wrong - but I don't think either lady would have approached you if you'd been wearing shorts instead of a kilt. Its the kilt that "makes" the deal for them. Kilts AND tats always win out.

It is obviously a killer combination. You will just have to keep on doing what you are doing and take the consequentness
