I now have my first kilt!!
So, I joined this forum back in the middle of September. I had hoped to have a kilt soon after. As it happens, it wasn't a priority and didn't fit into the budget. Well, my birthday came along, and now I'm a proud owner of a USA Kilts Philabeg in the Gunn Tartan. It came in the mail today. I'm so pleased with it. I went out today to several places (bank, grocery store, public park and Lowes) and felt really good. Heading up to NC tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to wearing it as much as possible.
I guess it's time to start thinking about kilt #2.
Thanks to all who have given such great advice and opinions. You guys have gotten me to where I am today (in regards to kilts, of course).
I have one picture in my gallery. I'll add more as I get some good ones. The lighting is just terrible today, and none of the pics are coming out good.

Brian,
CONGRATULATIONS On such a wonderful birthday present. When number two arrives then will come the need for number three, then number four, then pretty soon you will be giving Hamish a run for his money Wouldn't that be cool 8)

Sometimes I think the people on this forum are less about promoting the enjoyment of the kilt, but rather the acquisition of as many kilts as possible . Let's let Brian enjoy his first kilt for a awhile before he needs to think about numbers 2-20. Hope you enjoy your kilt Brian.

Well done Brian, it looks great on you, I have an identical kilt and wear it almost daily, the PV is a good tough material for work and play.
When you plan no2 I recommend to try the USAK traditional (8 yard), warmer in the winter and has a lovely swing to it.
