I'm still here!...sort of!
Hey X-Markers,
I wanted to drop in for a second and post an update. Not that I had been here for long to begin with, but I've been gone for a few months as I've kicked the weight loss effort into high gear lately. I tried to alter the kilt twice, and it worked just fine...for a few weeks. I'm down 76 lbs now, and I've still got plenty more to lose, but I'm losing faster than my kilt alterations can keep up!
I'm looking forward to getting down to a healthy weight that I can maintain so that I can actually invest in a new kilt without having to worry about needing to replace it a few weeks after.
I'm going to try to get back into the habit of dropping by here to see how you're all doing. I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your kilted lives.

Excellent news! Keep it (relatively) slow, steady, and healthy.
Sorry to hear about the kilts, but that's the best kind of problem to have, no?

Congratulations, Psynister!
I know how you feel. About a year and half ago, I quit eating crap and also started exercising everyday. I did Nordic walking 3 miles every day and strength training 2 days a week. I'm now 115 pounds lighter, and I feel great! About 4 months ago, I got bored walking with the poles, so I started running. I'm up to 4 miles a day now. I'm working up to 5 miles a day and then I plan to start running in some 8K races. Luckily, I had lost most of the weight before my wife made my kilt, so it still fits.

Jason: Congratulations on your weight loss! I can only imagine how difficult that must have been. Good luck attaining and maintaining that "healthy weight", and post some kilted pics when you're ready.

Well done, Jason - Well done indeed!
Just a thought - would using Velcro on the under and over apron (instead of straps) help?

Congrats on the weight lose, Jason!!!
Good to hear from you, I was wondering where you went.
Are you doing the Paleo?
As Chas said above, Velcro sounds like a good idea. You can add a lot of adjustability with velcro.
Somebody ought to.
