It's been a long time away....

    Hello everyone,
I have been away from this great community for almost two years, and I will say that I missed it. Life has been extremely busy for me with going to school part time, working a full time job, working a part time job, and trying to be a great dad to my two boys.
I'm out of school temporarily and I'm down to working a single job (for the first time in 10 years!), so I wanted to get back in touch with my kilted family and share in the love that is all things kilted.
I have plans to make a knock around kilt this year, since I need something to split firewood in, and to put together a Prince Charlie outfit.

I hope everyone hasa festive and safe New Years!

    Jake

Welcome back Jake. I too have been away a long while -just busy with life. I see that we joined X-Marks in 2007! I like your idea of a self-made knock-around kilt for splitting wood. Currently I use my Elkommando and Amerikits for that but I wood like to make perhaps a camo kilt for splitting/hiking/outdoors.

    Welcome back to da rabble,
    Marty

Thanks Marty. I currently have a X-Kilt that I made about 4 years ago using cotton twill that I use, but I find that I really don't like the way it fits, so I'm gona try again and see if I have better results the second time around. If you want to make a knock around then the X-Kilt manual is the way to go for your first self made kilt.

Welcome back, but in the kilted spirit you probably never left. I hope to see more posts from you as you seem like an interesting person.
