Yes, my tweed jacket has no label apart from one sewn on by the retailer, Kirk Wynd Highland House, Kirkcaldy.

I too have two jackets without labels. One, I know for a fact was made in Scotland and the other I believe was made in Yorkshire (England) for the Scottish market.
I don't think that it is uncommon. My experience is that clothing made for the hire industry, generally has no labels. My Scottish jacket had been made by Kinloss Anderson.

I recently received this jacket and waistcoat from Scotweb, and it's only label says "Made in Scotland." That may be the case with other jackets I own, but I'd have to look.

hi again
I've been on vacation for a little while, since I have not responded earlier. But the reason I asked about the brand of kilt jackets, is because I bought a PC for 50 GBP on ebay and it is not the kind of label, which custom it is, but it was marked TPC 40L on the wash tag( Both on jacket and waistcoat) . The seller lived in Scotland (and it was also on the packing slip). and the seller said it was purchased in Stirling. Do you think this is a cheap replica made in Pakistan. I ask certainly a bit strange, but you guys here on the forum, have some knowledge about this.

Hi Erik,
From what you describe there is no reason to doubt anything that the seller has said. The actual country of manufacture of the jacket is still open to question. Maybe if you post some photos of the jacket & waistcoat, pictures of the whole jacket front & back, plus close-up pictures of details such as the cuffs and wash tags, we could comment on whether we thought the jacket was a quality product regardless of where it was actually made.
