    Kilted in Tuscaloosa?

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, and apologies that its sounds too much like a Craigslist posting!

I had the pleasure of attending the Alabama game in Tuscaloosa this past weekend, and saw - among the crowd of over 100,000 - a gentleman in a smart looking Kilt.

But - sadly, due to the press of the crowd was unable to get over to him to say hello. By any chance, might this have been an X-Marks Member?

    Thanks!
    Tom.

PS - as an aside, I'm still working (so far unsuccessfully) at obtaining suitable kilt material in the "official" UA Tartan.

Tom, It wasn't me at the "Roll Tide" game this weekend last. I was at the "Grove" in Oxford in my kilt. Consider the Confederate Memorial Tartan as your alternative 'Bama attire until you find that "official" UA tartan. We're all Southern in the SEC, even if on opposing teams. If you visit our fine town on Oct. 4th, (for the Pachyderm v. Black Bear contest) look me up. I'll be in front of the Alumni House next to this car. Good luck finding your mystery kilted gent.

Excellent Kit, and nice car too! We probably won't be making any road games this year, but I appreciate the kind offer!!!

I really like your red vest! Nice touch with the blue shirt for game day attire.

I do like the colors of the Confederate Memorial, and I agree it would be fitting. But my wife really wants me to get something family related when I can afford a custom made kilt, and at present I'm leaning toward the Thompson Grey tartan. This one works for family, and (at least passably) for Alabama as well, as gray is considered a "secondary" color for the University, after Crimson and White - and the Thompson does have a bit of white and a small red line.

Tarheel - just wanted to extend to you personally and Ole Miss generally a humble and heartfelt "CONGRATS" on the win Saturday!

That was one awful game, and from the looks of it, I'll be extending similar congrats to quite a few SEC schools this fall.

In any event, I do hope you enjoyed the weekend and all the hoopla! I understand it was quite an event. I still have not had any leads on the kiltie I saw in Tuscaloosa, but that's the breaks. Perhaps one day soon, "the guy in the kilt" at Alabama games will be me!

    Regards,
    Tom

Tarheel: What a nice ride! It looks a bit newer (and faster) than the Winton Flyer that Lucius, Boon, and Ned took to Memphis in "The Reivers".

Wish I could have gone to the game and seen the Ole Miss buggy. It must be yours, since the outfit you're wearing matches it so well. If so, where did you get it? Did you restore it? Do you drive it, trailer it, or both?

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
