Leather Kilts - I LOVE them. What's your Experience Been?

Really have enjoyed my leather kilts. Still have one left that fits and one too large since weight loss. Other have been sold for money for new kilts.

Leather kilts are special...sort of top-of-the-line quality. Bulletproof. They open the door to wearing other leather with them. Toasty warm in winter and foul weather.

My first leather kilt was this brown leather Utilikilt.

A lovely kilt to look at, adjustable corset laces on the sides, but only one small pocket. Pretty much needed a vest or sporran with it to carry stuff.

My other leather kilts are all RKilts in various delicious colors.

This is the British Rebel Tan leather RKilt. Love the cargo pocket.

This is my most lovely Blue Leather RKilt...was a beautiful thing.

The Saffron leather RKilt. Color goes well with most anything.

And, the Sage Green RKilt. Another lovely color in leather.

What has your experience with leather kilts been?

If you like them then wear them, but I honestly don't think that leather kilts are for me.

Aye, for sure. There IS a wonderful feeling about them when you strap them on though.

Different than when strapping on a 16 ounce hand sewn wool kilt - but a similar "All's right with the World" feeling.

I have a leather kilt from Union Kilts. This one is a stiff leather and heavy. It weights 6.5 pounds (2.9 kg). I wear it as part of a Steampunk outfit but also casually. It is great when it rains. The water just runs off of it.
