A Look Behind - A Look Ahead

With Christmas past and New Year fast approaching, I would like to propose a new thread. Select one favourite past topic and tell where it may be found and why it is a favourite. Then suggest a future topic for the rabble's consideration.
I'll lead off.
My favourite past topic was "the pocket handkerchief" started by Ancienne Alliance on Sept. 26, 2009 in the Traditionally Made Kilts and How to Wear Them forum.
My reason for selecting this one was the incredible pictures of shirt/jacket/tie/waistcoat/pocket handkerchief combinations, both historical (Duke of Windsor) and modern. It is a text book on how to be daring and yet traditional at the same time. On a personal note, showing these pictures to my wife gained her support in my own efforts to dress with more flair. In fact, she now takes delight in helping me select combinations. As any married man can attest, that is an ideal situation!

The future topic I would like to see discussed is a way to archive pictures more permanently. As I browse through past threads, I find that many pictures are no longer there which renders the discussion of the topic pointless as there is no common visual reference point. I guess that reading about the loss of Hamish's photo albums of his incredible kilt collection added urgency to this quest. I know that there will be problems but it would be worthwhile discussing possible solutions.
