    Mixed up tartans

The new Fall Orvis Catalog came today. Notice anything funny about the shirt pattern names at the top of the page?

(sorry, I tried to crop the scan)

So just what is that red tartan? Certainly not Royal Stewart!

That green & blue tartan is nice but I don't recognize it.

What I find interesting is how often I'll see traditional Scottish tartans, and British regimental striped necktie patterns, quite accurately reproduced, appearing on random merchandise unattributed.

They probably don't want to make a mistake and fail at putting the correct name on it. This kind of press could actually be called bad press.
