National Tartan Day on NSA Calendar
Success! I got the April 6th (and since that's Saturday this year observance on April 5th) National Tartan Day "a day to celebrate the
Declaration of Abroath and Scottish heritage by wearing kilts or othe tartan items of clothing" added to the National Security Agency's
official calendar. We had 13 people in kilts last year. I am hoping we can beat that this year.

Very impressive indeed! I never worked at the Fort, but I did get one of these when I retired from the Air Force:

Very cool challenge coin. May I forward this picture to the NSA History folks? And would you have any more details you would like to provide?

Very cool! Slightly OT - I was informed at a meeting in Taos, NM once that I worked for the NSA, and to deny it would just confirm it. I was speechless!

I wouldn't mind if you used the picture, but I must confess I got lazy and borrowed it from Google images so it really isn't my picture to share. I will PM you about sending you some high-res pictures of my coins.
Not much to share in details But I spent my entire military career in NSA-funded positions. My first duty station was RAF Chicksand (now closed) working jointly for NSA and GCHQ. And I retired from active duty in 2002, the year of NSA's 50th anniversary.
But back to the original topic - I am still impressed that you managed to cut through the red tape and get National Tartan Day on thier calendar! That is fantastic.

Alas, no. But all the old timers talk about it.
