New Kilt just arrived !!

In just two days, my new kilt made its way from Glascow to Texas.

My daughter is a bridesmaid in a wedding in 2 weeks, and recently I was asked to wear my kilt. Its been a controversial topic in my family........but the bride's wishes trump all others !!

To accommodate, the kiltmaker moved me a few weeks up on the schedule, and today it arrived !!

Houston Kilt makers in Glascow was the shop I selected early this year. I picked American National Tartan, but just as I ordered, it was discovered the weavers just sold the last of their stock. So I waited...........Thankfully the cloth was in stock when I requested to be moved up.

I selected Houston's because they met my 2 conditions that are outside the boundaries of traditional kilts:

1. I wanted to wear it on my pants waist.
2. HAD to have pockets.

Pockets are a standard offering they have, so it was a perfect match. Their prices are also competitive, and the entire experience from initial inquiry, to order, to waiting, to they're accommodating my schedule request were all impeccable.

Despite my diligent effort, the pics seem out of order. The phone in pocket is shown twice - entering, and then completely inside. And not even visible !! The pockets are done wonderfully.
