This may be no way to treat a brand new X-Marks kilt but on Saturday June 21 I and 2121 others helped set a new world record for the most people running in kilts. The town of Perth, Ontario, Canada has been running a kilt run for about 5 years now and have traded the world record back and forth with Perth, Scotland . My son and I joined the Warrior class this year and ran the 8k (5 miles) with sword and shield in hand and participated in 7 feats of strength and skill, including a river crossing (and yes my kilt got thoroughly soaked), archery, spear throwing, tire flipping, hammer throwing, tire running and most importantly scotch drinking. My wife, niece and nephew joined us but ran in the regular 8k class. My new X-Marks kilt purchased when I visited Steve in Victoria only the weekend before the race has cleaned up quite nicely.
