    Real life sizing problem

I was about to order a PC when I thought I'd better recheck my coat size. My problem is the reverse to the other gentleman who ordered items he can no longer wear. So, I had LOML put the tape to my chest to check. That made the problem even more confusing.

My chest is 43 by her tape

    I have a Craill jacket marked 48 S.
I have an Argyll jacket marked 46 S
I have a well tailored civilian suit coat which is 46 R
and I have an off the rack Harris tweed at 48 R
the sleeve length on all seems to be correct

any one have an educated position what size PC to order?.

This depends one he or she from whom you are ordering! Contact them by telephone and discuss it. They know the cut of their various suppliers' jackets, and where and how they want you measured. Have TLOYL handy and do the measuring while you're on the phone with them. I'd also frankly wear your kilt while the measurements are being made so that TLOYL can measure to the places your supplier requests.
