I got my black UK Survival back and it is one inch shorter. Now it hangs just about half way down my knee, which my wife said she likes it a lot better now.
Twice now a guy that is in plays who also has a brick laying business has seen me in my kilt. The first time he was at a home builders show and I told him how some business guys that wear kilts get remembered for their business. He talked about them, asked why I am wearing it, and what kind it was. I gave him a UK card at that time.
Now last night he saw me again at our local HS play, which is almost professional in how they act, and said he has to get one. When I see him again this week at auditions ( I am the lobby manager and treasurer of our theater and I like to watch the auditions) I will give him this website. I might even let him try my kilt on, although he is a lot taller but it might give him an idea of size.
A director that I know has also seen my twice now and he sure wants one too. His wife is the type that said, "But when would you wear it?" Hmmm, My wife said that once too.
Oh, and one of the actors said to me last night, "Wow, this is the third night in a row that someone has worn a kilt. The first night was Nick, from this group, and the second night was his brother ( did you know that, Nick?), and last night it was me.
DALE.
