    Son-In-Law

    Here's the gist ...

The son-in-law has chided me since day one for my affinity toward kilts. I have suffered kilt-lifting and remarks which I won't get into.

I love my son-in-law as if he were blood. I have kept peace and laughed off all remarks that would other wise offend me. In the meantime, and as the plot thickens, I have two Grandsons and a Granddaughter which I should surely like to see in the tartan.

So, tonight, I pulled up a picture from the Kilt Store of childrens kilts and they have a great photo of a young man, perhaps 5 or 6 years of age, dressed to the hilt in kilt, hose, ghillies and flashes. I called the son-in-law down, btw his name his Sean.... point for my team, and showed him the Kilt Store pictures of young men in kilts and he flipped out saying how cool it was.

The son-in-laws birthday is just a few short weeks away. Tonight I ordered an SWK Heavy Black Watch for him along with required accessories from the Celtic Croft.

    SURPRISE!

I think my daughter will be pleased!

    Very Cool!

That's great Les. Sean will be quite surprised. Just a suggestion - put a document in with the kilt that gives some of the history of the Black Watch, so Sean can see that the kilt is so much more than just a garment of clothing.

Also, kudos to you for patiently tolerating Sean's remarks and actions for such a long time. You may just get a thank you and also an apology from Sean for his past behavior.

Good man yourself. You were kind and diplomatic. Now let's see if he wears the kilt!

I think if my Son-in-Law or any "in-Law" ever did a kilt lift on me, that there next greeting card from me would be a home-made one with a picture of my "Kaber". If they want to get to know me...

You undoubtedly did the right thing(s) but...My daughter would have been a widow. A rich one but a widow none the less.
