    Tartan name ??

This is a total shot-in-the-dark, but if XMTS doesn't know than nobody does, right?

Does anybody recognize this tartan? perhaps by name?

It may be an optical illusion or even the way the pleats are but I am not seeing a Tartan here.

It appears to me that the pattern is not the same vertically and horizontally.
I am seeing vertical red and white stripes but no corresponding stripes horizontally.
Horizontally I see the bands of three dark stripes, and unless they are hidden within the pleats, I don't see them vertically.

I don't think you have a Tartan here. Where did you see this.

    MacTablecloth of Glenspoon.

I kid. In all seriousness, though, I think it is probably a fashion plaid rather than a tartan but I'm not an expert by any means. Just my tuppence. I like that shade of blue, though.

I see what you are saying , but I think that is a bit of an optical illusion , I believe it is actually the edge of a pleat . If that was a true kilt , the fringe would be on the opposite side ( of course not all aprons are fringed ) .

Not sure what this garment actually is , but it doesn't appear to be a kilt nor does it appear to be an actual tartan . However , it does appear to resemble a kilt . Just my observation .

I'm no expert on these things, having never worn such a garment, but I think the technical term for it may be "skirt".
