Thanks to the Rabble
First off, thanks to all the rabble for being a great inspiration. I have owned a kilt since 1998 but only wear it 1-2 times a year. Since becoming a member here this year, I have already worn it 6 times this year.
Additionally my students are getting use to this; and, thanks to all of you, I have even had students asking this past week about how to get and wear a kilt. Numerous young men are considering getting kilts for prom and then to have and wear afterwards.

We have been wearing the Kilt for about the same time. Started out slowly like you, then eventually to full time. Thanks for those kind words, and KILT ON!!

I should add that I am currently wearing the kilt... not as traditionally as I generally care to however. At work, they asked everyone to wear red to support the UW Badgers as they go to the "Final Four" in basketball. SO... kilt with a Badgers sweatshirt. If only I had a badger hide sporran

Your story is so recognizable!
If by showing the example we could amplify the number of males wearing kilts that would be great. I'm afraid I'm daydreaming.
Anyhow let's continue dreaming but before all let's continue enjoying this beautiful garment.

Love to wear the kilt. Sadly I can't wear it to work. And, oh, GO UCONN!

I am getting ready to wear mine to the last day of Arizona Bike Week. I know the traditionalists will give me a hard time for wearing a horsehair sporran with my UtiliKilt, but that's ok. I think they look good together.
The kilt has been a big it at other "biker" events, so we will see how it goes. I wear it everywhere else....hehehe

I can wear my kilts to work and I do often. One co-worker has gotten himself a kilt and another is contemplating one. The thing is that they work remotely. They have never actually seen me in a kilt. They've only heard about me and my kilts.

Hello and a belated welcome !
Congratulations to you on your kilt wearing a success. When I joined here ten years ago this month I wore the kilt only occasionally too but now all these years later I am an inveterate full timer! I too have learned much from the good people here and relish the companionable ways of the rabble.
As I write this on National Tartan Day here in the U.S. I wish you a very happy Tartan Day!

P.S. Keep on being the great role model you are for your students!
May all your blessings be the ones you want and your friends many and true.
