then and now
A few months ago I posted a pic of a Welsh tweed saxon jacket that I had picked up at a local goodwill store for $20.00.
Well it took me a while to get around to having it converted to a kilt jacket. I picked it up today from my tailor and here is the result. To say I am pleased is putting it mildly. I think he did a fantastic job. He even moved the flaps of the pockets up so that they don't appear too low. What does the rabble think? Do I have a decent tweed jacket now?

For anyone interested in the tailor. He goes by the name of Edel and is located on 18th Street in San Francisco. I highly recommend his work.

Your tailor did very nice work. Wear it proudly. A friend of mine found an actual Harris Tweed labeled cap in a Goodwill store.

What sort of guidelines did you give your tailor? I assume the tailor was not familiar with the cutting of a kilt jacket, so what did you say to get the concept across? My sewing skills aren't developing very fast, and it would be more expeditious to take some things out to be done, I'm just not sure how to get the ideas across.
