tolerant educators

While driving home from work last night, I was thinking about all the hoopla raised in the last couple of months by administrators disallowing kilts at school functions. It occured that there must be a LOT of folks out there who didn't freak, didn't call names and took the chance at a teaching/learning moment.

I would like to thank all those brave souls and inquire of the members about a way for my kudos to reach a wider audience.

After all the fuss, it seems a few strokes would be welcome.

Well put. As a student myself, I find that the vast majority of educators are very accepting and even encouraging. Being at the university level, however, academics tend to be more accepting of just about anything outside the norm.

There is a great deal of difference between educators and administrators. My experience as a college instructor is that administrators have to be uptight about almost anything; while, educators don't have to be. I guess it comes with the job.
