University crested blazer into kilt jacket
I am a first time poster, though I have worn a kilt for many years and am attempting to wear one more frequently.
What does everyone think about converting a blue blazer with a university crest on it into a kilt jacket. My alma mater is Queen's University in Kingston and it has strong Scottish ties including pipe band, Gaelic cheer and song.
The colours on the crest would go very well with my dress Robertson kilt.

I say go for it! I have a few jacket conversions I'm waiting on myself. Remember: pics or it didn't happen.
Also, you should take the time to introduce yourself in the newbie section. You'll find a warm greeting there.

If it has two side vents, rather than a single, central, rear vent and if it is single breasted rather than double breasted, then I would agree - it could be a very good conversion.
