Wanted to borrow - Maclean of Duart

This is a long shot, but I know the kindness of the Great Rabble, so here we go:

On September 7, I'm performing a wedding for a wonderful young couple of modest means. The groom would love to wear a Maclean of Duart Hunting tartan kilt (http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar....aspx?ref=2617), and his belly is around a 30 - 32.

This is a young couple I really love dearly. Long story, many, many connections here, and I'm humble, privileged, honoured, and delighted to perform this wedding.

So here's the ask: Does anybody here by any chance, have such a kilt that they'd be willing to loan for the occasion? I'll kick in the shipping both ways, and I think I can probably put a sporran and hose on him, but there's no way they could even afford to hire a kilt.

His beautiful(!) and very young fiancee is enthusiastic about this but is reasonable about the possibilties of the idea. They're decorating the bouquets etc. with Maclean of Duart Hunting tartan ribbon so it would be marvellous if we're able to come up with something. If and only if we can find a way to accommodate him, then I'll wear my kilt too; otherwise I'll just wear black clericals - no way would I ever show either of them up.

I know it's asking a lot, but I also know the generosity and kindness of the Rabble, so I'm emboldened to post this request.

    Thanks for even considering this!

    Always yours,

    Bill+

If I had one, it'd be on the next shipment out of Texas.

Two items being considered here; depending on timing, preferences, etc. I'm overwhelmed by the kindness of the Rabble.

    ...but I always knew that!

...and arrangements being made for... not one, but two kilts; both to be owned by our groom! (No loans there!)

The marvellous Great Rabble scores again. More info as it develops!

Thanks so much. So very, very much!

    Father,
If your arrangement falls through, let me know. There are a few hunting tartan kilts around the house for slim people.
