    That kilt advantage
Well its now nearing the end of January and my waistline has finally returned to its former girth. Thanks to exercise and sensible eating I have now overcome the Christmas podge. It happens every year - plenty of good food and wine, and not enough exercise, and I just expand..

But my trusty kilts have an inbuilt advantage over trousers when I'm tubby. I can just let them out a notch or two and comfort is restored. Now that I'm 'back to normal the kilts are back on the old buckle notches. Nae problem.

    Ain't kilts great?

I have the same problem, my kilts are on the biggest hole at the moment :(
I gotta get back in shape, or I'll need bigger kilts.

I've been steadily loosing wieght over the past couple years, so I'm trying to keep myself from buying a traditional-style kilt unitl my waitline isn't in much danger of receeding any further. I really want one, but I'm perfectly happy with my Utilikilts, too.

I too like the expandability factor of Velcro! Glad that you are getting back to your former self Barry.

Noooo velcro is dangerous! It's harder to monitor weight gain with velcro, with belts and buckles, each new hole is a warning to watch what you eat.

Velcro offers no such warning!! :(

My wife is my warning system. She pats my belly and gives me a sideways look.

Time to hit the treadmill.

Ok Guys I'll come clean on this one.

I've an 8 yard tank too. which I use for measuring, also the waistcoat of my PC outfit is a good indicator. When all three buttons are done up if it's tight I cycle more miles

I notice while taking a shower, the more of the feet I see, the better. If I can see my belly button, I'm happy :D All done with my head looking down.

Belts are a great indicator, but for those festive temporary inch producing additions, I still stand by the velcro.

My wife is 22 weeks through her pregnancy and some times as she is standing beside me she wonder's out loud " GEE WHO'S CARRYING THE KID HERE YOU OR ME"   Cheers Andrew
